MY STORY

I became a UX designer because it felt like a natural fit with my industrial design background, and because I wanted to do work that I considered meaningful. I love learning others’ stories, thinking critically, pushing creativity, making things beautiful - and above all, knowing that my work has made a difference in the lives of others. Senior adults, healthcare, education, and the environment are my greatest areas of interest for UX design.

My work experience includes design, writing and editing, custom artwork, and business management. I’ve owned and operated two small businesses - a custom design studio and a fitness facility. Both provided me with endless opportunities to listen to and connect with clients and users, understand their needs, solve problems, provide solutions, and be creative.

I have an Honours Bachelor of Arts in English and Fine Art, a Bachelor of Design in Industrial Design, and a certificate in UX Design.

I live in the Greater Toronto Area, in Oakville, Ontario, Canada with my husband, two daughters, a teddy bear of a Bullmastiff named Buddha and a crazy American Bulldog rescue named Jingle.
